I Finished Another One!
I finished another blanket this morning! I made this one to give to Project Linus. I used mostly scrap yarn from other projects. The only yarn I had to buy was the white yarn, which I used for bordering each square, joining the squares and for the border on the blanket. I am planning on finishing up one or two more blankets before I donate this one, so I can take them all at the same time. It has been over a year since I have been able to finish a blanket for Project Linus, and I am so excited!

Swimming Fun!
On Saturday we went to a BBQ at our friend's house. Scott and Andy took all the kids swimming and we managed to get some FUNNY photos!
It was a really fun day, and I want to thank Andy and Aimee for hosting us. We had a blast!
Here's Maddie mugging for the camera.
Here are Andy, Brendan and Aubyn looking like they are having a relaxing time in the pool.....
And here is 30 seconds later when Andy flipped Brendan and Aubyn off of the raft they were lounging on. :-)
Here's Brendan doing his Incredible Hulk impression and he leaps off of the diving board!

Baby Max
This afternoon I went to visit with Dennis, Idalia, Alex and baby Max. Idalia looks wonderful! For someone who had major surgery a few days ago, she's up around a lot more than I'd want to be!
I had to steal Max away from Idalia for a little while. :-)
Isn't he adorable? He slept the whole time I was over there, even with Aubyn, Maddie and Alex playing loudly in the same room.

Here's a photo of the blanket I made for Max. I finished it last week, but I had to hold off posting photos, because Idalia didn't know I was making it. LOL
I managed to get all the rowdy children to sit still for a few minutes to take some photos. ;-)

Ok, that's all for now. See you all soon!
First Day of School!
Aubyn started 2nd grade two weeks ago, and once again when I tried to take photos to commemorate the wonderful day, he didn't want to have anything to do with it. However, after school I had to walk in and pick up some volunteer work from his teacher, so while we were waiting for her to finish up with bus duty, I managed to get this photo of him by the door to his classroom. Apparently, being persistent sometimes works! :-)
I just can't believe my baby is going to preschool! Today was Maddie's very first day of preschool. She has been so excited all day! She kept asking me when it was going to be time to go. LOL
Here she is in front of her school. Doesn't she look so grown up?
Ok, that's it for now. I am going over to visit Dennis, Idalia and baby Max tonight, so hopefully I'll have some new photos to show off tomorrow! ;-)

Baby Max is Here!
Baby Max was born yesterday at 1:56pm. He weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces, and is 21 inches long. Both Max and Idalia are doing well. I hope to see them soon!
Here is a family photo taken by our friend Amy. Stay tuned for new photos!

Tomorrow
Tomorrow my friend, Idalia is having a scheduled C-section to deliver a new baby boy named Max. Idalia and her husband, Dennis already have a 2 year old boy named Alex, and we are all so excited that their family is growing.
Let's all think happy thoughts that the surgery will go well and that baby Max will be nice and healthy!
